The C3 will most likely be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine based on the CMP modular platform. A 5-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission could be available. The automobile will not be available with a diesel engine. The Citroen C3 will face competition from the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Tata Punch, and even the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite when it arrives.

Tata Tiago/Tigor CNG (Expected starting price: Rs 6 lakh)

In 2021, test mules of the CNG-powered Tiago and Tigor were spotted on the road, with a debut scheduled for early next year. Currently, the tiny cars are only available with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that produces 86PS and 113Nm. The CNG version will most likely come with a detuned engine and a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. The CNG kit will save operating costs, resulting in increased sales.
