All of us at some point in our lives have aspired to own a luxury car from one of the elite European carmakers. These are cars that epitomise one’s success and is something everyone wants to experience. However, we all are familiar that such cars cost a fortune and one’s got to be a real ‘baller’ to own one. And the top luxury cars below 20 lakhs can be summarised as under

Honda All New City

The all-new Honda City is a 5-seater Sedan at a starting price of Rs 12.88 Lakh. It is powered by a 1.5 L BS6 engine that is available in both petrol and diesel versions, as well as manual and automatic transmissions. All New City is available in 9 different variations and 5 different colours. The sedan has a fuel efficiency of 17.8 - 24.1 kmpl and a fuel tank size of 40 L. The kerb weight of the whole New City is 1107 kg, and the boot space is 506 L.

Last year, the all-new Honda City was introduced in India. It is available in nine different configurations and with two different engines. Radiant Red, Modern Steel, Golden Brown, Lunar Silver metallic, and Platinum White pearl are the five colour options for the all-new City.

The all-new City has grown in every dimension. The length has been raised to 4,549mm, while the width has been expanded by 53mm to 1,748mm, and the height has been increased by 06mm to 1,489mm. It also has full-LED headlights with DRLs. In addition, it sports LED taillights. The high-spec model receives R16-inch alloys, while the lesser models get R15-inch alloys.

Suzuki Ertiga

The new-generation Suzuki Ertiga was initially shown at the 2018 Indonesia Motor Show before being released in the Indian market in late 2018. The new Ertiga is built on the new Heartect platform, which also powers the Swift, Dzire, and Baleno. The new Ertiga features a dramatic new design, including a redesigned grille with horizontal louvres flanked by slimmer headlights. Projectors and LED daytime running lights are added to the headlamp modules. The bumpers include attractive details such as a raked damper around the fog lights and contrasting black surrounds. The silhouette preserves the Swift's floating roof style.

At the back, there's a new tailgate and L-shaped taillights that stretch all the way to the D-pillar.The proportions of the new model have also increased. The overall length has grown by 100mm to 4395mm. It is 40mm wider and 5mm higher than the previous model, at 1735mm and 1690mm, respectively. The wheelbase, though, remains the same at 2,740mm. The MPV now rides on 15-inch alloy wheels with 185/65 section tyres.

The interior gets a modular arrangement on the inside, with the centre-piece being a new 6.8-inch infotainment screen. Climate control, rear AC vents, Smartplay infotainment system, second-row 12V plug, and centre armrest with cup holders are all included, as are all of the amenities found in the Swift and Baleno. The flat-bottom steering wheel is kept, and it provides a sporty flair to the interior.

Skoda Kushaq

With the Kushaq, Skoda Auto India has finally joined the country's mid-size SUV category. The Kushaq, which competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, is available in five exterior colours and three versions.

The Skoda Kushaq is developed on Volkswagen's MQ A0 IN platform, which is particularly designed for Indian road conditions. It has sleek LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs and high-mounted fog lamps, as well as the iconic butterfly-shaped grille. Roof rails, 17-inch alloy wheels, silver fake plates, split LED tail lamps, and plastic cladding on both sides are further features.

The Kushaq will include an electric sunroof, a two-spoke steering wheel, ambient lighting, USB-C charging outlets, front ventilated seats, keyless entry, and a 10-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Wireless SmartLink connection.

The Kushaq is available with two gasoline engines. The first is the familiar 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine from the Rapid, which delivers 114bhp/178Nm of torque and is available with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. There is also a more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine available, which produces 147bhp/250Nm of peak torque and is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG transmission. There will be no diesel engine available.

MG ASTOR

The MG Astor will be the first vehicle to have an industry-first personal AI assistant system as well as an Autonomous Level 2 system. The technology was created expressly for the Indian market to fulfil local demands. Furthermore, the car is scheduled to launch with low-cost after-sales service packages to simplify and improve the ownership experience. The MG Astor is expected to be introduced in the nation around Diwali in 2021.

The i-Smart Hub powers the personal AI assistant system, allowing it to exhibit human-like emotions, voices, and provide extensive information via Wikipedia. The Autonomous Level 2 system employs mid-range radars and a high-performance camera to provide a suite of sophisticated driver-assistance features (ADAS).

In foreign countries, the business provides a 1.5-litre VTi engine and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. The former can produce 118bhp and 150Nm of torque, while the latter can produce 161bhp and 230Nm of torque. There are two transmission options: a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. Details about the option that will be available on the India-spec model will be revealed after the formal announcement.

Following its premiere, the MG Astor will fight against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Nissan Kicks.
