India’s AI market slated to reach $ 7.8 billion by 2025

This has been validated by the latest report of International Data Corporation (IDC) in India for the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Market, 2021 that predicts that the country’s AI market will reach $ 7.8 billion by 2025 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.2 per cent, from a market value of $ 3.1 billion in 2020.

Recently on  May 5, The Heritage Academy, organised an invited talk on artificial intelligence which was addressed by Prashant Pandey, director of technology, End-user computing, VMWare Asia-Pacific and Japan. During his address he said, “Artificial Intelligence is not authentic unlike human intelligence that comes with life itself.” Briefly describing the four pillars of artificiali, he clearly distinguished artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Moreover he also spoke about the necessary skills required to make a career in AI and how students can take into consideration some of the important aspects which can help them to make decisions.

“An important topic which is now the current trend in the industry and such a talk will help the students in giving them practical inputs,” said professor Gour Banerjee, Principal, The Heritage Academy.

The session also witnessed some exciting discussions on human behaviour and how AI can respond to the same citing some examples from AI applications which are currently being used in the Industry.
