Bollywood Hungama’s Day 1 summary shows about 3.61 lakh tickets sold across roughly 10,500 shows and 1,700 venues. Overall occupancy is about 55.9%, split as follows:
- Morning: 46.10%

BookMyShow sold 353K tickets by 2 PM, which made it the second biggest Bollywood film on that measure, ahead of Jawan.
Advance Booking
Before release, top national chains PVR Inox and Cinepolis had sold about 1.85 lakh tickets for opening day. Sacnilk’s advance data shows 8.82 lakh tickets sold for Day 1 across 16,125 shows. That generated Rs 31.65 crore gross including block seats, or Rs 27.92 crore without them. Across the first seven days, advances stand at Rs 60.13 crore, or Rs 49.22 crore without block seats.
A Career-Best Opening for Ajay Devgn
With its live collection above Rs 50 crore, the film has overtaken Ajay Devgn’s earlier biggest opener, Singham Again (2024), which collected Rs 43.70 crore net on its first day. It is also being called a career-best opening for him.
Verdict and Outlook
Reaction has been largely positive, with many social media reviews calling it a fitting end to the series. BoxOfficeX lists reported theatrical rights of Rs 81.2 crore and says no hit-or-flop verdict will be assigned until Day 8. The weekend will show how well it holds up.
Comparison with the Malayalam Original
The Malayalam Drishyam 3 opened at Rs 43.37 crore worldwide. The Hindi version’s early worldwide estimate of Rs 70 crore or more is already well above that. The Malayalam film ended with a lifetime gross of about Rs 237.70 crore, which is the target the Hindi version will be measured against.
