Shah Rukh Khan Joins Vi as Brand Face | New Campaign 2026
Shah Rukh Khan Becomes the Face of Vi’s New Brand Transformation
Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in by Vodafone Idea (Vi) as the face of its latest brand campaign, marking a fresh chapter in the telecom operator’s ongoing effort to reposition itself in India’s fiercely competitive telecom market.
A New Look, A New Voice
Vodafone Idea has refreshed its brand identity, transforming its familiar visual particle into a dynamic three-dimensional sphere, while also naming Shah Rukh Khan as the face of an upcoming campaign teasing the next phase of its brand transformation. The campaign carries the tagline “Vi badal raha hai… tayaar rahiye” (Vi is changing… get ready), signaling that bigger changes are on the way.
The refreshed identity moves the brand’s signature visual from a flat particle to a rounder, fuller, and livelier 3D sphere, meant to symbolize optimism and possibility. The rollout of this new identity began across Vi’s customer touchpoints on September 1, 2026.
More Than a Logo Change
Vi has been clear that this isn’t just a cosmetic update. Vi CEO Abhijit Kishore described the move as more than a logo refresh, calling it the first expression of a broader evolution of the Vi brand, and reaffirmed the company’s ambition to shape the future of telecom with an experience designed to make customers’ lives more rewarding. He added that in the coming weeks, this evolution will unfold through strategic launches, new campaigns, and a range of customer experiences.
For now, the specifics of what Vi is planning remain under wraps. The company has not yet disclosed the specific products or services that will be part of the transformation, with the current campaign positioned purely as a teaser ahead of further announcements.
SRK: The Brand Whisperer Strikes Again
The Vi deal adds to Shah Rukh Khan’s already legendary run as India’s most bankable brand ambassador. Over three decades, SRK has fronted campaigns for everything from Hyundai’s Santro — a partnership that helped establish him as a “brand whisperer” for India’s middle class and remains one of his longest-running endorsements — to Pepsi, Nokia, and Coca-Cola, whose “Thanda Matlab Coca-Cola” campaign became a genuine part of the Indian pop-culture lexicon.
More recently, he’s fronted campaigns for Disney+ Hotstar and appeared in a Visa partnership aimed at reflecting the aspirations of a fast-evolving India. His pairing with Vi continues that pattern: a globally recognizable face lending credibility and mass appeal to a brand in the middle of reinvention.
What’s Next
With the new visual identity live and the teaser campaign rolling out, all eyes are now on what Vi unveils next. If the buzz around Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement is any indication, the telecom operator is betting big on star power to help it stand out in a crowded, price-sensitive market — and to signal that Vi’s transformation is one worth paying attention to.
